January 11 According to a report by the U.S. THE Hill on the 11th, the official website of the U.S. Congressional Police Department announced that the U.S. Congressional Police Department nominated Pitman as acting director, and former director Steven Sander has resigned.

Pittman reportedly spent nearly 20 years in the U.S. Congressional Police Department, serving as Deputy Director since 2018.

Previously, five people were killed in the riots in the United States Congress, including a policeman.

Former Director Sander described the riot scene as “an experience in 30 years of law enforcement that has never been seen before”.
