January 6 After the Christmas bombing in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, the White House approved a state of emergency on the 5th local time.

According to local media WJHL and the White House website of Tennessee, U.S. President Trump declared a state of emergency in Tennessee, which will allow the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide disaster relief assistance to the state’s Nashville-Davidson County government.

“Specifically, FEMA has the authority to identify, mobilize and, where appropriate, necessary equipment and resources to mitigate the impact of an emergency,” the White House said at a press conference.
