African-American Killed by police Overseas Network, October 27th. On the afternoon of the 26th local time, an African American man in Philadelphia was shot by police and died after being sent to the hospital.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, two police officers opened fire on the 27-year-old man. The police then took the man to the Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead in the hospital. The man’s family confirmed his identity, named Walter Wallace (Walter Wallace).
Witnesses at the scene said that Wallace was holding a knife in his hand, but he did not attack the police. The video showed that the man was at least 10 feet (about 3 meters) away from them when the police opened the gun.
He walked towards the police, who fired as they backed. Police spokesman Eric Gripp said that when the police arrived after receiving the call, they encountered a man with a knife. Gripp said that the man was with at least one other person at the time.

After the incident, dozens of protesters gathered in Malcolm X Park on 51st Street and Pine Street, chanting “the life of a black man is also fate.” Wallace’s father said, “Why don’t they use stun guns? His mother was trying to calm the argument, but you shot him.”
Wallace’s father said that his son is mentally ill and is receiving medication. “He has a mental problem.
Why did you kill him?” Wallace’s mother was on the scene when the incident happened. She screamed and ran to her son while waving her fists at the police.
