According to local media reports on the evening of December 14, most of Greece has experienced an ultra-long rainfall process from west to east since the afternoon of the 13th.

Due to excessive rainfall in Athens’s Attica Peninsula, Evia, Chios and other places, there have been flooding, residential buildings, tree tilting or falling to the ground.

In Attica Peninsula, fire agencies received 124 calls for help within six hours, of which 59 were related to the flooding of houses, 49 to the tilt or falling of trees, and the other 16 to request to clean up the falling objects.

According to reports, there were some accidents in the downtown area of Athens that collapsed in the rain; a partial roof of a hospital on Chios collapsed; and several provincial roads on the east coast of Evia Island and Attica Peninsula were forced to close due to flooding of rivers and rivers.
