Syrian State News Agency reported on the evening of the 19th local time that a tanker of the Syrian crude oil transportation company exploded that night in the western Horms province of Syria, causing a fire.
At present, firefighters have been fighting the fire at the scene.
Syrian News Agency also said that the site of the explosion was close to the Syrian Gas Distribution Company, but so far no casualties and material damage have been reported.
Affected by multiple factors such as war and external sanctions, Syria is currently suffering from a new round of fuel crisis, and people’s fueling is restricted.
The Syrian government has repeatedly said that oil imports from abroad have been blocked.
At present, the Syrian government has not announced the cause of the explosion, but there have been many deliberate damage and attacks on oil and gas facilities in many parts of Syria.
