November 17 Ohio Governor Mike Dwyane announced that a curfew would be imposed across the state from that day to help fight the spread of the pandemic in the state.

The curfew will take effect from 22:00 and will last until 5:00 the next day for 21 days. The curfew measures include closing all retail premises and requiring all residents to return home before 22:00.

Dwyane said that the curfew was implemented in response to the surge in confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the state. Since March, the Ohio Department of Health has reported a total of 312,443 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

In the past month, the number of hospitalizations in Ohio has also increased. On October 13, more than 1,000 people were hospitalized for Coronavirus pandemic, but by November 12, this number had increased to 3,000. The number of patients in the intensive care unit has also increased from 280 to 900.
