According to the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on the 18th, a Panamanian cargo ship sank in the sea near Province, Vietnam, on the afternoon of the 17th local time. The accident resulted in the disappearance of a Chinese crew member and a Vietnamese crew member.

According to the latest news from the rescue task force in Sơn Province, eight Chinese crew members and three Vietnamese crew members have been rescued, and two Chinese crew members have been confirmed to have been killed.

At present, the search and rescue work is still in progress.
