From December 3rd to 8th, three detainees were diagnosed with COVID-19, and two new confirmed cases were on the 9th. After that, the police station tested all detainees for nucleic acid, and 12 confirmed cases were found on the 11th.

Japanese media said that the Shinjuku Police Station has had a mass infection, and the detention center will be closed and thoroughly disinfected from next week. Seventeen confirmed detainees were divided into groups of 3-5 people and detained in different rooms.
