ARMENIA - NOVEMBER 9, 2020: Debris at the scene of the crash of the Russian Army Mil Mi-24 helicopter that was hit by a man-portable air defence system near the border to Azerbaijan. On the 16th local time, an Algerian military rescue helicopter crashed at sea near the city of Buharun in Tibasa Province, killing all three people on board (1 lieutenant and two lieutenant colonels).

It is reported that the helicopter was participating in a mission at that time. After taking off, it suddenly lost control and fell into the sea when it flew to the sea.

After hearing the news, Algerian President Teben, who is receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Germany, posted on social media to express his condolences to all the military personnel and the families of the victims. At present, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
