A famous Greek journalist was shot dead in the southern suburbs of Athens.

According to local Greek media, at about 14:30 local time on April 9, Giorgos Karaivaz, a famous Greek journalist, was shot dead by two killers outside his apartment in Alimos, a southern suburb of Athens.

Karaivaz was shot at least six times and died on the spot. When the police arrived at the scene, they found that at least 17 shell cases remained on the ground. Two killers have escaped after committing the crime.

Karaivaz, 53, is one of the most famous journalists covering the field of Greek justice. He also runs a website about alert news.
