December 31 Algiers news: Algerian civil defense department issued a statement on December 31, 2020, saying that a traffic accident occurred in the southern province of Tamanrasset that day, killing 20 people and injuring 11.
The statement said that at about 16:00 local time on December 31, a vehicle carrying 30 African national personnel overturned in Taman Lasset Province, killing 20 people, including the driver and injuring 11 others.
The civil defense department has sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
The local police are investigating the cause of the accident.
