February 6th local time, Paul Grisham, a California man, finally recovered his wallet lost in Antarctica 53 years ago.

According to Fox News, Grisham, 91 years old, from San Diego, California, went to Antarctica as a naval meteorologist in October 1967.

During the 13-month assignment, he lost his wallet and gradually forgot about it.

Grisham’s wallet was found in 2014 when a building at McMurdor Station on Ross Island, Antarctica, was demolished.

Stephen Dicato and his daughter Sarah Lindbergh from New Hampshire teamed up with Bruce Mackie of an Indiana nonprofit foundation to find Grisham.

The three of them successfully found him through many organizations, including Grisham’s former Naval Meteorological Service Association.

On the 6th, Grisham received the wallet by post, which contained many items of the year, which reminded him of Antarctica, including his naval documents and driver’s license, a list of withholding taxes, and receipts of drafts he sent to his wife.”

I was deeply moved, and many people participated in it, and after a long and difficult search, I found me.” He said.
