January 28th Recently, a 17-year-old male suspect in Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, was arrested by the police.
He killed six people on January 24, including an unborn baby and injured another. Indianapolis called the case a “massacre”.
According to Fox News on the 27th, the local police have not yet released the name of the suspect. It is reported that he quarreled with his father for going out without permission, and then he was suspected of shooting and murdering several family members.
The victim was identified as the suspect’s 42-year-old father and mother, in addition to the couple’s children aged 18 and 13.
Another 19-year-old pregnant woman was also tragically killed, and the fetus in her belly failed to survive. In addition, there is a brother of the suspect who is injured.
Ryan Mears, the prosecutor of Marion County, Indianapolis, said he would file formal charges against the suspect before the 29th.
Since the suspect is 17 years old, prosecutors cannot file death penalty proceedings under Indiana law, but he may still face an adult court hearing.
