Caracas, November 25 The Venezuelan government expressed its condolences on the 25th for the death of Argentine football star Diego Maradona at his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Venezuelan President Maduro wrote on Twitter’s personal account: “The passing of this football legend has left us a lot of grief. He is Venezuela’s brother and best friend.”
Maduro also tweeted: “You (Maradona) will always stay in my heart and mind. I can’t express my feelings in words now.” Maduro also shared a short video of his video conference with Maradona during the 2018 World Cup in Russia on his Twitter account.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Areasa, Venezuelan Minister of Culture Villegas and Constituent Assembly Cabello also sent condolences to Maradona on his Twitter personal account on the same day, saying that he was Venezuela’s eternal friend and great player.
