International Air Navigation Association plans to launch digital health passes
The International Air Transport Association said on the 23rd that it is developing a number of mobile phone applications to help air passengers clarify the COVID-19 restrictions at various destinations and share personal virus detection or vaccination information with airlines or governments.
These mobile phone applications will constitute the “International Aviation Association Travel Pass” digital platform, which is scheduled to be launched on a pilot basis before the end of this year and officially launched in the first quarter of next year to promote safe travel.
The International Air Transport Association and the International Aviation Group jointly developed this pass, hoping that the combination of test-proofing and COVID-19 testing can replace quarantine measures and resume international travel.
