Ottawa, November 20 Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau called on the public on the 20th to do everything possible to prevent the further deterioration of the coronavirus epidemic for Canada’s future.
Trudeau said at a press conference on the same day that Canada’s coronavirus cases have increased significantly, and he called on Canadians to make one last big effort, which will link the future of Canadian people, the economy and business.
He also called on Canadians to stay at home and work from home.
Prior to the Trudeau press conference, the Public Health Agency of Canada released a report on the trend of the epidemic in Canada. The report said that if the current frequency of people-to-people contact is maintained without stricter restrictions
the average number of new cases will reach 20,000 per day in December; if the population increases in contact with others, the average number of new cases will reach 60,000 by the end of December.
The report predicts that by November 30, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Canada will be between 366500 and 378,600, and the cumulative deaths will be between 11,370 and 12,120.
Public Health Canada announced on the 19th that from November 12 to 18, Canada averaged 4,788 new cases per day.
According to Canadian television, as of the afternoon of the 20th, there were 319,407 confirmed cases and 11,317 deaths in Canada.
