This lecturer is a graduate student who repeatedly assaulted Chinese female students living with him and restricted the other party’s freedom to eat, go to the toilet and even go out.
According to a report by Japan’s Mainichi Shimbun on the 23rd, the arrested lecturer was named Zhou Yamada, 31 years old. The Chinese female student who lives with him is 23 years old, and they live together in an apartment. From 13-14, the suspect beat the woman’s face several times in the apartment room, causing her face to be injured. On the evening of the 14th, the woman ran away while the suspect was not paying attention. She went to the nearby police station with a red face and asked for help, saying that she was “beaten.” The suspect now denies his crimes, saying: “These are not facts.”
According to the Kyoto Prefectural Police, the suspect worked as a non-permanent lecturer at Kyoto Prefectural High Schools in Kyoto and Uji, and lived with the woman’s residence for about two years. This female international student often endured her atrocities from the beginning of cohabitation, and he restricted the woman to eat and go to the bathroom only once a day. The suspect also prohibited the woman from going out and forced her to stay in the house every day.
The Kyoto Prefecture Education Commission stated that it is currently confirming the details of the incident and handling it seriously.
