According to a CNN report on November 14, the office of Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak stated in a press release that Sisolak was tested for the Covid-19 on Friday. The result was positive.
CNN stated that Sisolak is a Democrat. His office said his rapid test result for the new coronavirus was positive and is currently waiting for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result. According to the press release, Sisolak admitted that he felt tired earlier this week, but he initially “attributed this to his tight schedule” and he had no other symptoms.
Sisolak said: “It is very important for me to inform Nevadas as soon as possible that my COVID-19 test result is positive. I do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 so far, and I have returned to my residence and started isolation.
Sisolak’s office said that before Friday’s test, Sisolak received negative test results on November 2 and 6. Sisolak appeared in his Carson City office for the last time on Thursday. “As a precaution, all employees in the Carson City office have changed to work from home. All employees identified as close contacts through the contact tracing process will remain isolated for the entire quarantine period in accordance with CDC guidelines Before returning to the office at the end of the quarantine period, they must receive a negative result of the new coronavirus test,” Sisolak’s office said.
