November 18, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in an interview after the meeting of the Expanded Ministerial Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that he would submit a new concept of Russian foreign policy to the President in early 2022. He said that the last version of Russia’s foreign policy was adopted in 2016, when the international situation was different, and many profound changes have taken place in the past five years, which will be reflected in the new foreign policy concept.
At the same time, Lavrov pointed out that Russia’s relations with the West have accumulated many potential conflict factors, mainly because the West does not want to talk on an equal basis, does not want to seek a balance of interests, and impose its own ideas on the rest of the world. This practice of the West has no future.
