German Chancellor Angela Merkel reiterated her support for the Alliance Party’s candidate for chancellor, Lars Schette, as she attended a campaign event in Berlin. She said she was “confident” that Mr Rashet would become chancellor after this year’s election, and praised him in particular for his character.
On the day of the election campaign, outgoing Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed firm support for the coalition’s candidate for chancellor, Rashet, as her successor. “Over the years, I’ve worked well with Rashet on my work and personal relationships,” she says. As a politician, our party is the compass of everything he does.
Merkel praised Rashet for always putting individual people at the forefront and for working to build bridges between them. She called on the Alliance Party to continue to give Rachael the greatest support: “For the remaining 35 days, every hour requires us to fight for the strength of the Unionist Party in the Bundestag; ”
The Coalition Party’s election campaign on the 21st aims to reverse the party’s consistently poor poll performance. In her speech, Ms Merkel admitted that since giving up her CDU presidency three years ago, she has kept her party’s politics as close as possible, a sign of her attitude and her belief that “but the most important thing now is to fight for the election to win!” Merkel noted that during her tenure, both the euro crisis and the energy transition have been a good illustration of the importance of the Alliance Party’s leadership of the federal government.
Recent opinion polls in Germany show that while the Alliance Party has held its position as the largest party for the time being, the overall trend is that support continues to decline. According to current data, the Alliance Party may even become a opposition party if other parties form a government.
