U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin said in an interview on May 23rd, local time, that U.S. President Joe Biden is committed to finding a two-way solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Blinking added that rebuilding the Gaza Strip has been a structural destruction and responding to the humanitarian crisis caused by the recent outbreak of violence is important to the U.S. government.
Blinking said the Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire will focus on the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and reconstruction issues, and continue to deepen contacts with both sides. Blinken also said that if the practical problems are not solved, that is, to help Palestinians “live with more dignity and hope”, violent incidents are likely to “repeat”.
