Six people have died in a bus fire in South Africa

May 21 2021 South Africa’s administrative capital Pretoria on the afternoon of the 21st, a bus fire accident, killing at least 6 people were killed and many injured.

Tabo Charles Mabaso, a spokesman for pretoria’s emergency services, said the bus, which was carrying 63 passengers at the time of the incident, was scheduled to travel from Pretoria to Tweedondan, Mpumalanga province, about 100 kilometers away. The bus may have caught fire suddenly while driving.

Mabaso said firefighters found the bodies of six passengers after extinguishing the bus fire, and the rest of the passengers were injured to varying degrees. A female passenger was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the bus fire is under investigation.
