According to the EFE local time on May 19, the Moroccan authorities have interrupted the illegal immigrant route into Spain on the same day, hundreds of Moroccans have been gathered at the border since the 18th, after learning that the entry route has been closed, most of them chose to return.
Data as at 19 May showed that some 8,000 Moroccan migrants had entered Spain illegally, of whom about 5,000 had been repatriated to Morocco. Moroccan authorities continue to press the border to curb the transit of illegal immigrants.
On May 18, local time, according to several Spanish media, the Spanish Interior Ministry plans to cross the border illegal immigration repatriation work with the Moroccan authorities to negotiate.
