May 17 2021 South Africa’s second phase of the coronavirus vaccination work officially launched on the 17th, this stage of vaccination is mainly for the elderly aged 60 years and above and people with a combination.

The first phase of the coronavirus vaccine in South Africa targets health care workers. Statistics show that fewer than 480,000 people have completed the first phase of vaccination, well below the government’s previous target of 1.2 million.
South Africa is the worst affected country in Africa. As of the 16th, the country has more than 1.61 million confirmed cases, the cumulative number of deaths of about 55,000 cases.
