The suspect in the May 2 attack on two Asian women with a hammer in New York has been arrested by police, U.S. media reported on May 13.
New York police say the suspect, Ebony Jackson, 37, is currently charged with two felony counts of wounding with intent, but no hate crime charges have been filed against him. The New York Police Department’s Hate Crime Unit is still investigating the case.
It is reported that the Asian woman who was attacked on the 2nd has been sent to hospital and underwent surgery, her head wound was stitched seven stitches, is now in stable condition.
