MAY 11 2021 RAHUL VOHRA, A WELL-KNOWN INDIAN ACTOR AND BLOGGER, DIED MAY 10 IN AN INDIAN HOSPITAL AFTER CONTRACTING THE Coronavirus. Foreign media said Rahul had posted on social media before his death that he “could have survived if he had been treated better”.
Rahul, who became famous for making comedy short films, has attracted legions of fans on social platforms and watched his videos by tens of millions of people, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.
His wife, Tiwari Vohra, posted on the social media platform: “Everyone knows Rahul is dead, but no one knows how he left.” She added that she would continue to express her dissatisfaction with hospital care.
In the last video recorded before his death, Rahul is understood to have lashed out at the treatment he received at a hospital. As India is suffering a second wave of outbreaks, the hospital is facing overcrowding and under-resourced populations. Rahul says oxygen is valuable, and if it is not provided in time, the patient will be dizzy and miserable.
However, when patients want to call a health care provider, they are delayed, or even wait an hour or more, and the patient has to survive the emergency on his own. In addition to criticizing the hospital, Rahul appeared to criticize the Indian prime minister in another post before his death, saying, “If I get better treatment, I can live.”
