British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is under investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards on May 10, local time, for a private trip costing up to 15,000 pounds.
After his 2019 election victory, Johnson traveled to Masik Island with his fiancee, Simmonds, at the end of the year. Mr Johnson then registered for the trip, noting that, as a member of Parliament, he had accepted “the accommodation provided by the Conservative Party for my private holiday with my partner, worth a total of £15,000” and that David Ross was a donor.
But a spokesman for Mr Ross, co-founder of carphone Warehouse, a British retailer, denied the donation.
Downing Street has previously said the Prime Minister’s trip to Mastick MeetS “All relevant Transparency RequirementS.”
Mastik Island is located in the Caribbean Sea.
