Seven people, including the gunman, were killed in a shooting in Colorado

In the early hours of May 9, local time, a shooting in Colorado killed seven people, including the suicide gunman.

Colorado Springs police said the same day, the suspect drove to a birthday party there, shot six people at the scene, killing five people on the spot, one seriously injured and died in hospital, the suspect later committed suicide. Police said the children attending the party were unharmed.

According to a preliminary police investigation, the gunman is suspected to be the boyfriend of one of the victims at the scene. The suspect and victim in the case have not yet been identified and the police are still investigating.
