An Egyptian train derailment has killed 11 people and injured 98

Egypt’s Ministry of Health said in a statement on the 18th local time, 949 train to Mansoura derailed in Qalyoub province. The accident killed 11 people and injured 98 others.

The Ministry of Health sent 60 ambulances to the scene to carry out the rescue, the injured have been transported to The Specialized Hospital of Qalyoub Province and Benha University Hospital for treatment.

Egypt’s transport minister has gone to the scene of the train derailment and the inspection department has launched an accident investigation.
