April 18th 2021, Malaysia’s Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Safuddin, said the department had submitted an application to the government to allow media workers to be vaccinated in the second phase of the national vaccination program.
Because media workers are also on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic, Seifeddine said, he asked for media workers to be vaccinated as soon as possible. And he himself has delayed his vaccinations in order to get vaccinated with media workers.
According to the malaysian government’s previously available programme, the country’s Coronavirus vaccination work will be divided into three phases.
The first phase of vaccination will be for health care workers and other front-line staff in outbreak prevention and control, the second phase is for the elderly population and high-risk groups, and the third phase will be extended to adults over 18 years of age.
The entire plan, which will cover at least 80 per cent of Malaysia’s total population, is expected to be completed by February 2022.
