The Sydney Morning Herald quoted a source on the 8th as saying that these vaccines are coronavirus vaccines jointly developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University in the United Kingdom. The first batch of 300,000 doses of vaccine arrived at Sydney Airport on February 28, and the other batch was transported into the country by an United Arab Emirates passenger plane in March.
Shortly before the arrival of the second batch of vaccines in Australia, the Italian government and the European Union officially rejected AstraZeneca’s application to export about 250,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to Australia, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
According to the above sources, the export of these vaccines to Australia has not affected the UK’s vaccination program.
