Johnson & Johnson announced that a single dose of coronavirus vaccine previously used in clinical trials for health care workers has been approved for use in South Africa, according to the website of South Africa’s Daily Business Daily Business.
This approval means that ordinary people can get the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine.
According to South Africa’s coronavirus vaccination program, the second phase will start in early May.
The vaccination coverage includes high-risk groups such as elderly people over 60 years old and patients with basic diseases, with a total of 13-16 million people.
South Africa’s coronavirus vaccination is progressing slowly, with only 250,000 medical staff completed vaccination so far.
