According to New Zealand media reports, at noon local time on March 1, a bushfire broke out in the North Shore area of Auckland.
According to a police spokesman, the fire site was covered with shrubs, which burned down 4 hectares of vegetation and residents of more than a dozen nearby houses have been evacuated.
Firefighters and rescue workers are trying to control the fire, and a fire helicopter also rushed to the scene to participate in the fire fighting.
A police spokesman said that no casualties and property damage have been reported so far.
