February 15th, local time, according to Sky News, in order to further curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the UK has implemented strict out-of-pocket quarantine measures for passengers entering England from the 15th.
It is reported that passengers entering England from 33 high-risk countries and regions must be quarantined in government-designated hotels for 10 days at a cost of £1,750, including accommodation, transportation and testing.
Violators face a fine of up to 10,000 pounds and 10 years in prison.
The UK has taken drastic measures to limit the spread of the virus, protect people and save lives, said Matthew Hancock, the UK Health Secretary.
