British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office said on the 13th that Johnson will host a video conference of the Group of Seven (G7) next week, in which U.S. President Joseph Biden will participate.
The Prime Minister’s Office said that the theme of the videoconference was to promote the equitable distribution of the global coronavirus vaccine, discuss post-epidemic recovery plans and how to prevent future epidemics.
The meeting is scheduled for the 19th and will be the first “gathering” of G7 leaders since April last year.
According to many media reports, this is also the first major multilateral meeting Biden attended after he took office as President of the United States in January this year.
The Group of Seven is composed of seven developed countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.
