Netanyahu: 97% of Israel’s coronavirus deaths last month were not vaccinated

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said on February 9 that more than 97% of the country’s coronavirus deaths have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus in the past month.

According to Reuters, Netanyahu said in an interview: “Israel is in a state of emergency.

It is a shocking fact that 1,536 people have died from COVID-19 in Israel in the past month, and more than 97% of the deaths have not been vaccinated.”

According to the report, the Israeli Ministry of Health said that about 38% of Israel’s 9 million people have received at least one dose of vaccine.

But with the rate of daily vaccination declining, the government’s goal of achieving 50% vaccine coverage and re-development of the economy next month is facing challenges.

Israel began vaccination against the novel coronavirus on December 19 last year.

In response to the domestic appearance of side effects after vaccination, Netanyahu refuted it as “fake news” and added: “Israel provides vaccines for every citizen… If you get a vaccine, you save your life.”
