Lucille Landon is a French nun known as Sister André. According to the survey data of the Gerontology Research Organization, Sister Andre is the second oldest living man in the world.
French media reported that Sister André was tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the southern French city of Toulon in mid-January. However, only three weeks later, she recovered and was allowed to attend religious ceremonies.
Sister André is blind and needs to sit in a wheelchair, but after being diagnosed with COVID-19, she is not afraid of the disease or worried about it. In an interview with the French newspaper Val-Martin, Sister André said that she did not even realize that she was ill.
David Tavera, the public relations manager of her nursing home, said that the old man did not ask about his health after the infection, but only wondered whether his living habits such as meal time and bedtime would change as a result. In addition, she is very concerned about other elderly people in the nursing home.
In January 2021, 81 of the 88 seniors at the nursing home tested positive for COVID-19 and about 10 died, according to the Val-Martin newspaper.
