Leaders of the U.S. Senate are close to reaching consensus on the rules of impeachment trial.

CNN’s Manu Raju quoted a person familiar with the matter as saying that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell are close to reaching a consensus on the rules for impeachment of former President Trump.
