The WAM quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that the government decided to take temporary measures to ensure that communities are receiving herd immunity and control the epidemic because of the surge in the number of coronavirus infections in the past few weeks.
Over the next four to six weeks, the government will try to vaccinate as many elderly people as possible and people with a history of illness.
At the same time, the government will provide some other ways to make appointments for the remaining population.
The UAE epidemic has reportedly improved for a while, but it has rebounded since mid-to-late August 2020, with the majority of new cases per day after October 2020 between 1,000 and 1,600.
Since the beginning of 2021, the number of new confirmed cases in the United Arab Emirates has been increasing in a single day, and in the recent period, the number of new confirmed cases in a single day has been between 3,000 and 4,000.
