Fox Business News TV, a subsidiary of Fox, said on Friday that it had canceled the program Lou Dobbs Tonight hosted by business reporter Lou Dobbs.
Lou Dobbs is also a supporter of former U.S. President Trump.
The day after Dobbs, 75, was listed as a defendant in a defamation lawsuit filed by voting machine manufacturer Smartmatic, which claimed that three Fox hosts, including Dobbs, falsely accused the company of helping to manipulate the election against Trump.
Fox said that the action to end Dobbs’ program was planned before the lawsuit, which was a reform after the U.S. presidential election last November, when Republican Trump was defeated by Democrat Biden.
