According to the report, this is the first time in South Korea’s constitutional history that the National Assembly has passed an impeachment case by a judge.
Therefore, the impeachment case of Lin Chenggen, a ministerial judge of the Busan High Court, was transferred to the Constitutional Court for trial.
It is reported that Lin Chenggen’s term of office will end on February 28, and it is still unknown whether the Constitutional Court will make a judgment before he leaves office.
