New York City Health Commissioner Tests Positive For COVID-19

David Jokshi, the U.S. Commissioner of Health of New York City, said in a statement on February 3rd local time that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus and currently has mild symptoms.

He has been in touch with the testing and tracing department in New York City to ensure that anyone who may have been exposed to the virus can be served and cared for.

The COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting Americans, Joksi said in a statement, reminding people that “we all continue to wear masks, wash our hands frequently, social distance and stay at home if we feel unwell.”
