Tashkent, January 30 Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health said on the 30th that the country reported the first Variant case of COVID-19 infection.
The patient is in isolation at home and in good health.
Uzbek’s deputy minister of health, Yusupalyev, said on the same day that a 10-year-old girl and her family returned to Uzbekistan from the United Arab Emirates on the 23rd.
She tested positive at the airport for rapid virus, and then went to the infectious disease hospital for further testing, and finally diagnosed with Variant novel coronavirus.
The Special Committee on the Prevention and Control of the Epidemic in Ukraine decided on the 30th to extend the suspension of flights between the country and eight countries, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands and South Africa, until March 1.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the 30th, there have been 70 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past day, with a total of 78,672 confirmed cases; 621 deaths; and 77,146 cured cases.
