January 17th local time, a mine bomb attack occurred in the Lower Shabelle region of Somalia.
The target was the convoy of the governor of Lower Shabelle County and military officials.
At least six people, including Somali soldiers, were killed and eight others were injured, and the governor survived.
After the mine attack, Somali soldiers also engaged in gun battles with armed elements.
The extremist organization Al-Shabaab in Somalia claimed responsibility for the attack.
