Hundreds of confirmed cases of variants COVID-19 infection in Spain

January 16th, local time, Spanish Minister of Health Salvador Ilia confirmed at a press conference held by the Ministry of Health that at least 100 cases of mutant COVID-19 have been found in Spain.

Ilya said that Spain’s recent estimated 150,000 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 include at least 100 cases of mutant COVID-19 infection previously found in the United Kingdom, and hundreds of suspected cases are still under investigation and confirmation.

At the same time, the country is also investigating and confirming the mutant novel coronavirus found in South Africa, Brazil, Japan and other countries.
