According to a BBC report on the evening of the 15th local time, several cases being handled by the police have been blocked recently due to the wrong deletion of some criminal records.
In a subsequent investigation, the British National Police Commissioner’s Board found that 213,000 criminal records have been deleted so far.
According to the information disclosed by the police, the computer sharing system of the British National Police, including fingerprint information, DNA information and criminal records, has been deleted by mistake by the computer system.
At present, the British Home Office is investigating and evaluating.
A software designed and developed by a team of developers of the National Police Office’s computer sharing system, which began to mistakenly delete these criminal records in November last year, was not discovered and suspended until last week, according to the British police.
