January 15 Recently, a mayor of Chiapas, southern Mexico, was tied to a tree by angry people.
The reason is that the new water tank in the area is full of problems and residents have difficulty drinking water.
Mayor Oscar Ramirez showed the residents of Frantra Comarapa a series of promised public projects on the 11th, including the construction of a new water tank.
Representatives from 11 communities in the city questioned Ramirez about the dilapidated water supply system. Then the angry people forcibly tied him up. In the photo, Ramirez is seen wearing a mask, his hands on his back, and tied to a tree.
In a video posted online, a man who claims to be a member of the community association can be heard pounding the concrete water tank.
A community leader climbed into the tank and removed the cement layer on the surface of the tank to prevent water leakage.
A local resident reportedly said that Ramirez had assured the residents of the city of Comarapa that it would be a decent job, but it was all fraudulent because the water supply system was full of problems.
It is said that the residents of the city’s community have not used water for more than a week.
On the 12th, Ramirez tried to downplay the fact that he was tied to a tree on social media.
“They didn’t tie me up”, explaining that he had reached an agreement with the 11 community representatives from the city of Comalapa on drinking water.
