According to Fox News on the 13th, Sarah Groh, the chief of staff of U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley, said that the emergency buttons in their offices were removed during last week’s congressional riots.
Gro said that when Trump supporters broke through the security check and broke into the Capitol, Presley’s staff used furniture and kettles as roadblocks to block the entrance of their office. She pulls out her gas mask and looks for emergency buttons in the office

“Every emergency button in my office has been removed, and even the whole room has been removed,” she told the Boston Globe. She can’t figure out why, because she has used these buttons in that office before. She explained that due to the repeated death threats against MP Presley over the past two years, it has become routine for her staff to conduct security exercises.
“I had gas masks in my hand, clogged the door of our office with furniture, and tried to press our emergency button within minutes of sending this message,” Gro tweeted early in the morning after the attack. We’re fine, but this is wrong. This is white supremacist terrorism.”
After the lock down of the office, MP Presley and his staff were transferred to a safe and secret place. Both Gro and Presley confirmed that they left the “safe room” and went to a less safe place because some of their Republican colleagues did not wear masks.
MP Presley on Twitter: “I left when I found treasonous, white supremacist, and anti-mask MPs who incited the mob in the ‘safe house’ dealing with the white supremacist mob. I’m mad that more and more colleagues have tested positive for the virus.”
On Wednesday, the U.S. Congress held a joint meeting to certify the results of the electoral college, after Trump supporters broke into the Capitol, killing five people and sacking his office, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
