January 14th, local time, Skynews reported that hundreds of coronavirus patients in London hospitals will be relocated to hotels to relieve the pressure on the supply of hospital beds.
It is understood that 107 rooms have been prepared in a hotel in south London.
Some homeless or unable to self-isolate coronavirus patients will be discharged in advance if it is confirmed that they are not necessary for hospitalization, and ambulances will be responsible for sending them to the hotel for unified placement and isolation.
At present, more than 36,000 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in the UK, which puts great pressure on the NHS.
Coupled with the recent severe epidemic, it is expected that more serious conditions may occur in the UK in the coming weeks.
The British government recently said it would “consider all options” to ease the pressure on the National Health Service (NHS).
