In order to curb the continuous rise in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, from 6:00 local time on January 13, the Lesbos region of Greece began to implement a new round of stricter anti-epidemic restrictions until January 18.
Specific measures include: the curfew from 18:00 to 5 p.m. the next day; prohibit residents from entering and leaving the island for the next six days; and all retail stores and churches will remain closed.
The North Aegean authorities, the superior authority in Lesbos, will provide basic daily necessities and medicines to the island’s residents, including chronically ill patients and low-income families.
